I want to replace my UltraDot Matchdot II with an Aimpoint H2 on my KC Crawford 45 with an optic rail slide mount .The issue as I see it places the front lens  of the Aimpoint H2 directly over the ejection port. I did buy shade tubes to mount front and back of the dot, but not sure how that would work out. Does anyone have experience with the dot mounted on their 45 in regard to the lens/mount getting dirty/scratched/interfering with ejection of brass?

You shouldn't have any problems at all.  Just remember if you have the Kodiak mount for your H2, you will have to open up the cross slot you want to use so the dot will sit properly on the rail.

K.C. supplied a longer carbon fiber tube for the front of mine. Keeps the glass cleaner and looks good too. I believe he can make them any length you need.
