Clark Custom Long Slide

Morning and Hello,  new to forum, need to discuss a recent find of a Cased Set of Clark Long slide pistols done by Jim Clark in 1974.  Gov. frames and Custom Herrett #5 ex.Fancy target grips.  All this cased by "Huey Cases" in 1974 (talked to Mr. Huey and he said case was made the first year he was in business),  Yes I shot both of them, and what you expect from early work.  Q.  Has anyone ever seen a cased set like this before, I think it may be one of a kind, Clark said they never did a cased set, they made the pistols and sent them to Huey Cases for fitting.  Would love comments... Trying to attach picture not having much luck help if you can.

Very nice.  Appear to be "looking at" pistols rather than pistols used in competition since I don't see any wear.  As you probably know, if you look inside the slide, the year they were completed will be stamped.  Since they were built by Jim Sr., I'd bet they shoot very well.  Quite a find!

Yes, they where brand new compared to most finds.  And yes both guns where made in fall of 1974 by Jim (8-74, & 11-74) and sent to Huey cases for custom case and accessories.  As most of my guns, they shoot better than me but first groups at 20 yards where great (minus a few flyers, the large target grips interfere with the grip safety and some maneuvering of the hand was required.  Put a set of Pacmyer grips on and was please with resulits.

Thanks for sharing these. I have owned a few Clark’s but never seen a set. Too bad they can’t tell stories. Long line and 25 yard pistols? Guns for twins? Dueling? Looks like the superlative of the day x2
