Can anyone recommend a gunsmith who repairs Hammerli 208S?

Hi,

I am thinking of getting a new (to me) above pistol but Would like to be clear on whether service/parts are available.

Any assistance would be appreciated.

Red Feather Outfitters would be the best choice in the USA.

Interestingly, there are a lot of new parts available from Germany. The caveat is getting them into the USA.

Most of the parts have both Walther/Haemmerli part numbers.

You might be able to get a USA Walther dealer to order them direct from Walther.

Thanks, Dave. I checked with red feather outfitters and while they have some parts they provide no repairs.

I called the Gunsmith red feather recommended in Arizona however there was no answer and according to the Web search they are “temporarily closed”

Would welcome any more suggestions

For what it is worth I have been using a Hammerli 208 since 1982 and before this it was used by a senior shooter, probably one of the earliest Hammerlis made. It has been through a lot and I have not had the need to take it for any repairs at all. As ling as you treat it gently and be careful of cleaning hopefully you will not need a gunsmith. I hope!!!

Thanks to Hammerli for the encouraging news. I did go ahead and buy the 208S from the seller on commercial row so I’ll keep my fingers crossed.
