Pistol Balance
I was fiddling with my M41 with a dot and messed with how it felt with the dot mounted further forward and backwards. I assume mounting further forwards reduces recoil a little but feel heavier. I assume further back makes the gun feel lighter.
Are there any other aspects of this I haven't grasped yet?
Thanks!

Re: Pistol Balance
I mount them pretty far back because that's what I see the High Masters doing.

Re: Pistol Balance
I like a heavier gun but I prefer the balance point to be neutral. Too far forward helps a little with recovery at the short line but it becomes a struggle to keep the nose of the gun up and on target as a match goes on. Like a lot of things though, this is what feels good to me so it might not be the best for you. Keep experimenting and yo7 will find your sweet spot.

Re: Pistol Balance
Personal preference, but for me it's about what is easier for me to realign with and come back on target with, which is currently right above or slightly in front of my trigger finger in the middle mount position. ( These are non-Model 41's, AXI with MicroRail and a Xesse. Back more is ok but, to me required some additional movements to keep aligned. )
