They have the marketing down. There is a rampant Colt everywhere you look!

CZ bought Colt a while ago. People had hopes of quality improvements.

Well, tbh…if you look at the photos in the link Jim posted of the 9mm GC you’ll notice the all black hammer.  And it’s “painted” (Cerakote?) all over the part creating a lousy trigger. And to add insult to injury, it seems the internals are MIM parts. The one I received had about an 8# crunchy trigger. All my older .45 Gold Cups have polished hammers and polished steel surfaces. I replaced the hammer, and internals with tool steel parts and got it 4# hardball spec. I called Colt about this and they tell me that it’s the correct parts. Oh well.
I will say that once I got it straightened out, it shoots extremely well. (124gn 9mm)
Can’t speak to the current  .45 variant.

I have built several of the new GC pistols. They are of typical Colt quality. Out of the box not much to speak of tolerance wise. They’re using MIM parts as are the rest of the companies out there. The exterior blued finish isn’t bad. They build into good pistols but the frame to slide fit is lacking.
