Norma Argentine primers, small pistol-

Must have been too good to be true 
Last night they showed out of stock.
This morning it shows in stock but with a regular price of $79.00 and $63.20 with the 20% off.
Still less than the $95-100 price of US made primers.

Anybody have experience with the Argentine primers? Are they good for BE or is there a reason why they are “on sale”?

I am thinking of using them in 45 acp.

I have had mixed results with them. I loaded some in 9mm. They ran perfect in a Glock 17 and Beretta 92. I also loaded some in Blazer small primer .45 brass and fired them in my 1911 wadgun with a #19 mainspring and had a few fail to fire. They always fired on the second try. I felt like they needed to be seated really hard. I loaded up more using the primer seater on my Dillon press instead of my usual RCBS hand primer. It seems to seat them deeper. I have run about three hundred rounds thru my .45 wadgun since seating them harder and they all have fired dependably. The ammo shot just as accurately as my regular loads. I will buy more if they come on sale again and keep in mind that they need to seated good and hard.

I would like to add something to my above post. I tested these primers in Blazer .45 small primer brass from three different SA 1911 wadguns. They ran perfectly in two of them, but not in the other one. I measured the firing pins today. The offending pistol had a firing pin that measuring 2.288". That's two thousands short of minimum. The other two were 2.292". They are supposed to be 2.290" - 2.296". This may be why some were failing to ignite.
