45 Long Colt
I may have missed this one somewhere down the line, can a 45 long colt revolver be used in Bullseye shooting, or is it strictly 45 ACP? Thank you all for all the great advice and helpful hints I've found here so far. Steve in Tenn.

Re: 45 Long Colt
It can be used for the 45 stages. It just has to be “45 caliber”. So, in theory, this means that 45 GAP, 45 Win Mag, 455 Webley, 454 Casull etc all qualify. It cannot be used for EIC matches because I don’t think revolvers are allowed in that.

I'm pretty sure you can use a M1917 revolver in EIC competition.

Revolver = NO. Service pistols are all semiauto.Dan Webb wrote:I'm pretty sure you can use a M1917 revolver in EIC competition.
M1917 = No. M17 pistol = Yes. Reason: M17 is the present pistol in use by the US.
