Won bid on 25-2
I am looking forward to shooting this gun soon. I shot my GP 100 today with a Ultradot just to get back into shooting a wheel gun. I shot very well with it but plan on shooting the 25-2 with irons. Moon Clips are on order along with a de mooning tool. I will be ready when the gun arrives. Don

Order enough moon clips and you can be waiting on those slow pokes to fill magazines.

I will but not sure I will be shooting it at matches. There is just not a lot of opportunity to shoot a revolver as i hate to not shoot my LB 45. I shoot it better then any gun I own. Don

Use the 25 for trigger control practice. The long barrel and slow bullets make hard holding required.

I don't do well with irons and may have to see if there is a rail for it that fits the rear sight cut. That is what I use on my GP 100. DonWobbley wrote:Use the 25 for trigger control practice. The long barrel and slow bullets make hard holding required.

I'm interested to hear your take on the wide trigger. I switched mine to a narrow serrated. I can shoot the narrow DA, but not with the wide.

25-2s do not have FTF, FTC, FTE or any other F's. It is kind of nice shooting a .45 match knowing you have to only have 90 rounds for the match. Ok, you might get a fail to fire sometime but that's the ammo not the gun. You may decide sometime in the future that you want to put a dot on the pistol. I had a hard time deciding to drill mine but in the end I have been very glad I did. A little bit of advice. If you do decide to have it drilled and tapped the Weaver # 401 is the mount to use. All three screw holes are hidden by the rear sight if/when you decide to replace it. I have a Leupold mount on my 27-2 and only use the last two holes for the same reason.

401 mount
Ultradot mounted. A lot of room for thumb in SA.
