Colt XSE 1911
Does anyone have a Colt XSE? If so, are you happy with it? How is the trigger and slide to frame fit? Does it shoot ok groups at 25 yards? How does it compare to say a Springfield loaded model 1911 quality-wise? I have a chance to buy new one at a discount, but I haven't seen it yet. Thanks, Eric

Might check into the Springfield range officer, the fit is right up there with some of the custom shops, they say 1'' groups at 25 yards and bill it as a out of box target pistol, it also has a nice set of adjustable sights. check out some of the videos on you tube. My son bought one and it lives up to their claims. price is not bad, he paid 699.00 retail.

I believe my Colt Commander is an XSE it is a beautiful gun but the trigger is stock to say the least. I still love my Colts, all 3 of them.

The XSE and the XSE Combat Elite are two of the best combat handguns you can buy, off the shelf. They are very accurate, reliable, and carry quite well.
That being said, you STILL need to have them tweaked before shooting the long line. Yes, you CAN buy a Colt and have it re-done--but you will save money in the long run by buying a stock Springfield, or even a frame and slide from Caspian.
