Camp Perry SAFS

This is my first time going to Perry, is it worth going to the SAFS ? What about the EIC match for participants of the SAFS? Any helpful tips would be appreciated. I am staying in Port Clinton at an AirBNB. Thanks

I would HIGHLY recommend doing the SAFS and participating in the M9 match that is a part of it. Well worth the time.

Agreed. You can also sign up for the 22 EIC and service pistol for SAFS participants. Lots of opportunities to get points. And great fun...and learning.

I’ve shot in an EIC match, can I still do the SAFS EIC?

You can always participate in SAFS and M9.

If you have any EIC points, you are ineligible to receive points in the M9 match, but you can still shoot it. You have to participate in SAFS (and be in the auditorium when they give the safety briefing) to shoot in the M9 match.

Note that the EIC match and National Trophy Individual are separate matches from the M9 match.

the auditorium part can get uncomfortable if the AC is struggling on a hot day (been there, did that) but it was worth it

Just do it. Got my first 4 points at SAFS. Started me on a quest. I go every year and always learn something new or more likely the AMU reminds me what I forgot since last year. All in all - hearing the best shooters discuss our sport and what they do is worth every minute of my time.
