I use to hit these at 200 yards with a 6.5x284 custom rifle with a Nightforce 12x42 power scope. My longest groundhog kill was 1160 yards.

Try silhouette type shooting offhand with a BB or pellet pistol at various distances using brass from 22, 45, 223, '06, etc for targets.

I still have LtC Millers old CO2 gun.  I used it for brass case silhouette in the 70s.  Coach was teaching me the art of sight alignment and trigger control. And I believe it works, especially with 22 cases.
