CA State or Regional Match 2020

Am I correct in understanding that due to COVID these events will not be held this year?

Labor Day came and went. They had a club match I think, but the range is members only for the time being.

Early in the year (pre-COVID) I was trying to get a multi-venue (NorCal and SoCal) State Championship together.

However, the 'Rona has closed our range to all non-members, and as much as my little girl would like another bear trophy, I didn't think I could run a "State Championship" that was only open to members of the Sunnyvale Rod & Gun Club.

I hear there is progress on hosting matches again eventually at Sacramento Valley (AKA Ione, AKA Sloughhouse). Don't think it will be this year, though.

2020 is basically a wash in CA.

Here's hoping we can resume in 2021. We have been doing the work to keep bullseye active at our club, so I am optimistic that once things open back up we'll be able to host matches again.

OK, so the Sunnyvale range is restricted to members only - understandable. Pity, I enjoyed the quick drive down and the event last year!

But I am still "working on it"! At least now I won't get as many accusations of "sand bagging"!

As far as I'm concerned, you're welcome back at Sunnyvale any time. I hope we can run matches here next year, and I hope you'll come shoot with us again.

You guys know you can always use our range in Phoenix for the CA state championship as well as for the Labor/Memorial Day matches 
We have a very nice BBQ area right next to the pistol range and to make it kosher for the California shooters we can even use solar cookers.
