CMP ELEY bulk

I am well into my case of the Eley bulk 22LR i purchased last year.
I have checked CMP E store and this ammo is no longer listed as we all know.
I am wondering if anyone knows if this ammo will be offered again from CMP?
At $355/case delivered it is a good mid priced ammo.

I'm sure if they can get it from Eley they will continue to offer it..  they sold it for a while

I am checking daily to see if it is offered again. By the way, I have purchased the Eley bulk from CMP for three years and it was all the same production year, 2017. Apparently CMP purchased a huge quantity to start with.

I also checked with the CMP and was told "It's on order."

Well Steve, if they said it's on order I guess we will see it at some point.

The Eley plant was shut down for six months due to the China virus. They are back up and running but it will take some time for us to see ammo from them.

I have subscribed to this thread. If anyone finds it back in stock at CMP, please post here to alert the rest of us. (after you place your order, of course)

Our club V.P. talked with them a couple of weeks ago and was told they have some on order but the price would be considerably higher, $90.00 per brick or $900.00 per case.

For $9, it should be in Tenex boxes!

I can only hope they were confused about which product they were talking about... $9/box doesn't seem like they were talking about the bulk pack stuff. If they are... its not an option for me anymore... too bad too. Really good ammo... at 350/case

Ps, I have cases with two different.lot numbers so there was at least two production runs...

I too had at least two lot numbers but all 2017 production.

I will be surprised if it has gone up that much. It’s not worth that to me. I bought 2 cases last year and would do so again at something like the old prices. It’s not match quality but it’s good for practice.

It's my match ammo..., shot 870 something in Phoenix last week... points lost were not ammo related...

Not Eley bulk, but CMP stocked in today Amscor .22 SV 40 grain for $405/case of 5000.

A good price in today's world, but I've never heard of this stuff.

I have enough that I am not desperate, so not buying an unknown ammo.

Not sure what their definition of "standard velocity" includes.  May be a special run for CMP.  While I applaud the effort to make .22LR available, I'm not rushing to invest in 5k rounds either.

I would buy 2 cases if it was good practice ammo but the reviews I see are mixed and they are not well known.  If anyone tries it, let us know.

I've heard that the Montana production is better than the foreign production... ive got an email in to cmp for more detail...

I ordered a case for training/practice.

Blank target drills, sustained fire first shot, two shot drills, grip/trigger training, etc.

I'm not concerned with what the target may look like, but more what is happening at the gun.

Edit: I shoot a marvel 1911 conversion that doesn't seem to care about anything.

So long as it functions your gun correctly it should be fine for practice or small matches for most people. A few months back Accuracy X showed a video with ransom rest targets with cheap 22 ammo with groups that would hold the x ring out of a Marvel. Nice to see some availability, I hope it will allow more people to practice/compete.

I am a little hesitant to order this ammo, still waiting for the Eley to be available. With the 2 case limit, would hate to miss out on the second case of Eley.

Has CMP said the Eley is coming available again?  I haven't seen any updates on that.  I got 2 cases last year.  

As to the Amscor, I'm going to wait and see an actual report here used in quality bullseye pistols.  If it doesn't feed/eject, there's no point to it.
