Hi!

Looking for a set of grips for my new RRA wadgun, and would like to know if anyone has Lava grips? I have a set of Sharkskins on my Shuegun, but wouldn't mind trying Lava if they're good.

I also have both and now use Sharkskins on my wad gun. I really like the Lava grips though and they are available in lots of colours. Don't try white, yellow or bright green for guns that you use a lot - they get marked very quickly. Red and blue work well.1911 grips - Sharkskin vs. Lava Img_2279

I've got both. I prefer Sharkskins.  They both are pretty "grippy," but I think the texture on the Sharkskins is slightly more aggressive. The Sharkskins feel sturdier and just feel like they're higher quality; the Lavas feel like I could snap them in half and look a little cheaper.  On the other hand, the Lavas can be had in a number of colors, while the Sharkskins are only available in black or desert tan.

Sandpaper grips.  Feel like 220 grit.  I like the magwell cut.

‘Tactical Sandpaper”-  I am an old woodworker and this phrase just makes me giggle. Smile

I have Sharkskins, and I sand down the trigger finger area a bit.

Do you find them as grippy/aggressive as the Sharkskins?  I really like the red color - is that "red" or "blood red"?

Do you find the Lava grips less aggressive? Thinner as mpolans has observed?
