Nice, you might add a screw/knob that locks the lid in the open position, my strong case shooting box has that which keeps the lid from crashing down and damaging the spotting scope.  Or you can just use a small c-clamp.  I really like having a shooting box like this.

If it anything like mine, there's a small hole drilled on top for a screw and wingnut to hold it up.. I just use a clamp from Home Depot.

The red is very cool.. looks like a Dr. Z guitar amplifier.

I have a big metal C clip that was my Dad's from his Pachmayr box, but when I'm indoors, I don't need the clip. 

My father was a bullseye shooter in the 1960's, it's cool to have a few things of his along with me.

Hmmm, some white spray paint, and a stencil will do wonders for that box....
