Don Holmes...has left the range

Don Holmes of Stoughton, MA passed on Monday, April 10, 2023

He was a friend, teammate, and Mentor.
A staple at Camp Perry, Sharon 900's, Twin County and South Shore Pistol Leagues, 
and anywhere else in the northeast that held a pistol competition.

You will be well missed, my friend.

Don was a friend, and sharp as a tack.

So sorry, we are diminished.

Don Holmes was a person who would help in any way he could to help a fellow shooter ,
( myself included many times) he gave his time and enthusiasm endlessly to support 
shooting sports.
 
The Satucket Gun Club misses him, as does many many shooters and friends he had.

Don certainly was a great friend and competitor - a familiar face on ranges in New England and at Camp Perry. He shot a 900 with the usual suspects at Sharon Fish & Game just a week or two before his passing, and I enjoyed our conversation there that day. I've learned that a brick bearing his name is now in place at Camp Perry. A fitting tribute to a dedicated bullseye shooter. I look forward to seeing it in July.
