Best 22lr ammo for revolver 50 yards?

Don't have a lot of experience with 22 rimfire ammo for competition.  The CMP Bianchi Cup will have a 22 rimfire action pistol match this year and I am considering trying it with my S&W 617 6"  (red dot open revolver).

Recent experience with Federal and Remington bulk ammo has not been great, poor accuracy and misfires. The Remington Thunderbolt bulk ammo really leads up the 617 barrel, won't group at 10 yards and even throws keyholes at that distance. The Bianchi Cup match will  have targets from 10 to 50 yards.

Figure this forum is the best place to seek ammo suggestions.  Would also like to hear of any 617 (50 yard) accuracy you might have experienced.

Don't think I've ever mad a lot of Eley Tenex or Lapua Midas that hasn't shot bugholes in my Anschutz.

Any of the match grade offerings would be worth trying. Besides the obvious ones like Eley, RWS, Lapua, etc., you might try CCI Pistol Match. It is still going to come down to what works best in your handgun.

I HAVE TESTED .22 REVOLVERS AT 50YDS. S&W AND COLT'S. I FOUND CENTER-X TO BE THE BEST OVERALL. OLD LAPUA SIGNUM WAS A HAIR BETTER. JP
