Sun Shades on my H-1

Ok how do I remove the sunshades from my Aimpoint H-1 that I had to press on without damaging the sight and sun shades ?

I suggest using wooden dowel that has OD as close as possible to ID of the shade.  Insert it in and work slowly bending in all directions.
