Any suggestions on how to rig up a low primer alarm for Hornady AP?

I just drew marker lines on the white rod. last 10, all out. Glance at it occasionally and i almost always catch it before it runs out.

Depends on how in depth you want to go, reed switch to a simple alarm circuit is one way, The easiest way is too have a line on the white rod.

The switch to an alarm is what I'm interested in.  I have tape on the rod and it works but I'd prefer to get an actual alert.  I don't know what components are needed or how to wire them up but I think I could figure the later out once I have them.

I've read the Dillon won't fit if you're using a PTX, which I am.  But it sounds like there might be some mods that can make it work.  If anyone has suggestions on those, I'd love to hear them.

Worked on both my LNL's.  Just need the rod and clamp the alarm to the primer feed shield.

the hole in the Dillion is bigger, so I just used a piece of leather as a shim.

Just a random comment, but the thought of electricity near primers and powder doesn't sound good to my ear. I guess dillon and users are convinced it's okay. I try to stay aware of what's going on with the powder level and the primer stick that has a flag and sanded point that drops into the primer slide pocket when the primers run out.

That battery powered primer alarm has been around 40 years or close to that, so I think we are good to go.
