Install mount on Springfield RO

I need someone to install an Al Marvel  mount on my Springfield Range Officer.  Can anyone recommend a good gunsmith.  I am in the southern tier of New York but can ship it to the gunsmith.

Hi Tom,
What part of the Southern Tier?  I had Walt Kunkler mount my rail.  Very happy with his work.
He's in Otego Ny.  I don't have his contact information with me but I'll post it as soon as I can.  Where do you shoot?

Yes, please.  I'm interested in getting a rail mounted on my RO, and have heard mostly good stuff about Mr. Salyer's work, but searches of past posts reveal different numbers, so getting the latest contact info for him would be appreciated.  Thanks.

If you are going to do thank you might as well invest in a trigger job and new barrel busing.

If he just has the rail mounted then he would not have to send the lower and you could just plunk the upper in the mail. Way less hassle.

K.C. is a top choice but he's also very busy and this close to perry I'm sure he is covered up but defiantly check with him.


but if he cant do it in your time frame then for the record Dave has been supporting  bullseye shooters for many years and  many here are shooting his guns too.

I contacted David Salyer and he is going to mount the rib.  I am just waiting for the rib to arrive.  Thanks to all who replied.

Tom take a look at the picture I linked to.  If you'll notice I had the rail milled to clear the original open sights.  It's stable and allows me to go to open sights without having to remount them.  Food for thought.
