How do I replace the sear spring? The pin seems smaller on one side than the other. I replaced the mainspring last year and got the trigger weight up but it's getting borderline. What size is that pin?

No need to remove that long skinny pin that retains the sear spring.

Just get under the sear spring at the bottom and gently lift it up a bit and the sear lip on the spring will come out of the notch cut in the frame, slide the sear spring down and out.

To install the new sear spring just slide it up under the retaining pin and it will snap into place.

That is how I replaced mine for what it's worth.

Is it possible to bend the sear spring to bring trigger weight up?

(I have dreams of finding an International sear spring for my 52-2)

There are two springs that will affect trigger pull weight.
The draw bar plunger spring and the sear spring.

When I rebuilt my M52-1 found that my draw bar plunger spring was broken, replaced it with a new one and also a new sear spring.
It will now lift over the 2.5# with the NRA weights.

As a side note;
If you ever totally disassemble an M52, take notes and pictures cause things come apart in a certain order and vise versa.
It is not that hard but just be sure of what you are doing or going to do next.

I bent the sear spring on my 52-2 to bring the trigger weight up, and it's still holding weight.

What's a International sear spring ?

I've hear Smith made a special uncatalogued spring to bring the weight up for international. I actually recently saw the part number in another forum but I seriously doubt they have any...Brownell's has the trigger bar plunger spring so I should be good.
