The trigger on my ball pistol is getting on my nerves lately.  The sharp edges and deep vertical serrations have my finger dancing.  I looked at the stock trigger on my WWII Remington GI model that was my fathers.  It has a nicely done continuous radius from outside edge to outside edge across the front, and the finger pad area has a somewhat fine X type checkering, almost smooth.  It really feels good.  The immediate downside I see is that the surface area for the finger is less to pull against.  Would it be wise to slightly reshape/smooth my ball gun trigger and give it a try, or can anybody predict some problems?  Do any of you use a smooth faced trigger now?

I have trigger shoes on all my 1911s except my gold cup. Super smooth from Froneck on this forum. I also change to a short trigger to keep it the same length.

I also prefer the rounded edges of the Harrison Custom posted by Mr. Miceli.
