Clark 1911 Slide Mount

Hello all,  Back in BE...can`t see (common theme for 55 +`ers)... going to put a dot on a ball gun...did a search for 1911 slide mount bases and saw no mention of the Clark, so asking for any feedback on them...I`m aware of the others like Marvel, RRA, etc., just had wondered re the Clark`s absence in the various discussions I saw as to whether there was some known reason (in the BE community) for not using it, etc.  Thanks for any thoughts...Good to be back...Jerry

still around...They are the least expensive of all the rails last I looked.

they work fine but I will say that not all rings like them.

I have always used the Clark mount for maybe 30 years or so.  Works and looks great.

Thanks for the feedback...BTW, JGlenn, what is the issue with the rings you suggest...my understanding is it`s still a Weaver configured base...Weaver rings have issues with it or Picatinny style/hybrid rings?...curious as to what you had problems with...Jerry

Some of the less expensive rings don't fit well without filing such as the B-square.

OK, Thanks...probably use some Burris z rings I`ve got...figuring they`ll be good to go...Thanks again for the replies...
