I am originally from Battle Creek, but I am living just north of Atlanta Georgia these days. Seems about everywhere I go down here I come across people who used to be from Michigan.    Myself, I would be living up near Grayling if the wife could tolerate the winters.

Not from Michigan, but I went to University at Michigan Tech (ya sure, ya betcha!) and Michigan (Ann Arbor).  So call me an honorary Michigander!.

Is Ohio State the only major college team that is named after a tree fruit that only lasts part of the year and then falls to the ground to rot?

I can't think of a team of Plums or Apples, but I think there are some "peaches" of teams out there.


Yes, I did live in MI and went to the school which is Ohio State's nemesis.

My local team is named after a fowl.  And feeling Rosey today
