Thought I saw a Lee Factory Crimp Die with a taper crimp for .38 Special...perhaps I was up too late shopping that night. I'm loading .38 cast Lee tumble lube wadcutters.
I'm hoping taper crimp will improve the consistency of the bullet pull over a roll crimp.

I like Dillon dies for my progressives including 38sp wadcutter, very nice taper crimo and easy to clean die design.

REDDING MAKES A PROFILE CRIMP DIE. IT IS A COMBINATION TAPER WITH A SLIGHT ROLL. I GET MY BEST 50YDS TEST GROUPS WHEN USING THIS DIE. IT'S WORTH IT. JP

I use a RCBS taper crimp but I seat in a different step with another die then crimp

The Redding profile and RCBS TC seat (seater part removed) are superior crimpers
