Is Empire Ammo real, or a scam?

My brother is asking me if Empire Ammo Shop is for real, or a scam.  Apparently they have lower prices than expected.

Nice website, but when called, they didn't seem to understand English very well, and couldn't answer his questions.

My thoughts - when something sounds too good to be true, that's a sign to stay away.

From what I could tell there's two different versions of that site, one with one s and one with two (guns shop)..

Just the fact that they only accept PayPal would be a red flag to me.

Apparently it's a scam website, regardless of how pretty the web page is.

There has been a lot of discussion on shotgun sites and they have concluded Empire Ammo to be a scam

100% scam. I just got burned by them. Bought some shotgun shells, received a confirmation email, and then heard nothing more. When I returned to their website to check the status of my order, none of the links worked (My Account, messenger, contacts, etc). I called their phone number and spoke to someone with poor English who claimed my purchase order did not exist and my credit card was never charged. Unfortunately, my Discover bill shows otherwise. Just submitted a request to Discover to have purchase cancelled.
