Model 52 info
Where can I find either online or in print information on the S&W Model 52? Maintenance, tuning etc.

I also have interest in a good book on the Smith & Wesson model 52. What part of Michigan are you from.

Re: Model 52 info
A lot of people on this forum know the pistol well. I was shocked by how little info there is on the internet and YouTube. I’ve detail stripped mine once and switched out the springs. The tiny leaf sear spring to bring up the trigger to 2.5 lbs was a challenge but various post right here got me through it. Perhaps more specific questions?

These should cover you for the tech stuff.
Plenty of ammo stuff on this forum.

Mine is functioning well presently. I would just like know more on it in case I need to fix it. I never knew this pistol existed until I start to shoot bullseye.orpheoet wrote:A lot of people on this forum know the pistol well. Re: Model 52 info
I actually have this info. I am looking for info with more pictures and other info about the pistol. I was surprised that for as long as the gun was manufactured there isn't more published info.mspingeld wrote:http://smith-wessonforum.com/smith-wesson-semi-auto-pistols/529547-complete-disassembly-assembly-all-s-w-model-52s-post139740643.html

Re: Model 52 info
Yes I go there. The idea of this thread was inquiring about where to find info in one spot in print it on the net. You can find this for a bunch of other guns but haven't for this one.

Re: Model 52 info
If you have the time and patience to read through it, I think all the undocumented "trick stuff" in disassembling the Model 52 can be found here:
http://smith-wessonforum.com/smith-wesson-semi-auto-pistols/585908-s-w-model-52-2-failure-fire-quite-often.html
One of the forum members, who used to assemble the Model 52 at the factory, walked me through the process, and sent me videos when things were more confusing than I could deal with. The end result is my gun now works perfectly.
There is a goldmine of information buried away in that thread. ....but it is a very long read.
