I'm looking for .45ACP 185 gr JHP or WC ammunition, preferably, the lower-recoiling stuff similar to what Atlanta Arms sells (700-800 fps range). I looked into ASYM (closed), Federal Gold Medal (discontinued), Loader Monkey(?), Wilson Combat (no 185 gr, but they have 200 gr), Precision Delta (230 gr only). It looks like Freedom Munitions (LAX) sells re-manufactured 200 gr. at a pretty good price. Are there others I'm missing? I've searched through the Ammoseek, etc., sites. Thanks!

Have you tried Roze Distribution who is the distributor for Zero bullets and Ammo?

Loader Monkey will load 45s to order.  They don’t keep it in stock per se.  If you don’t want to load your own, there are other remanufacturers out there that are fully capable of loading decent ammo.  Pays to call around.  If you do load your own, then my tactic is to buy good cast bullets in the 180-200 range (H&G 68 style) in minupimum batches of 1000 stuff them on top of your favorite powder that gives you 700-750 fps and go play.  I tend to reserve the JHP for 50 yard work and cast at 25.  I train at 25 so that simplifies my ammo loading.  I like simple!

I see where they say it is out of stock and don't know when it will be available. That was one of their main money makers.

Very often their website says it’s out of stock. But if you call them they will often “find some” to deliver to you.
