Looks outstanding!

Hope the moron you’re building this for takes your efforts to heart and learns to shoot better.

That's a well thought out design. Or, as my grandfather would have said, "He used some gumption when he made that."

Okay, I'm in the mood to learn stuff. What are these pictures depicting and why is it so cool? Oh, and why does RodJ think it will make him shoot better? 😉

Sara, that’s the slide of a Colt Gold Cup to which Jon has drilled and tapped holes and a Clark rail for an optic. Jon modified the rail by cutting a slot in the underside, at the bow (front end), so that when mounted the rail will sit over the front sight. I.e., he doesn’t have to remove the FS. And he also modified the stern with a cut out so the rear sight remains as well.  The sights aren’t functional with the rail installed, but it leaves the option to go back and forth

You’ll love it and will immediately add 10 points to your slow fire score!lol! Razz
