Which 9mm 1911

I’m looking to get the least expensive decently accurate 9 mm 1911. It seems that people don’t have too much luck with the stock 9mm RO and they always require a new barrel. Is there another budget 9 mm 1911 that I should look into?

RO will be fine. Maybe a new bushing and possibly a .200 slide pin.

RO 9mm has never grouped well in my experience. If you get a RO which I like, it really needs a barrel.

What barrel and twist do you recommend?

I primarily use KKM barrels; 10, 16 and 18 twist. 32 twist is thing of the past these days.
And on occasion I use Karts.

Look at the Rock Island 1911 in 9 mm. Can't get any cheaper at less than $400. You got to put a bushing in it(EGW) and a trigger job. , they shoot pretty well.

I was going to post about mine but i figured I'd stir up all the haters. I can shoot a soup can across my pasture until it is destroyed. I have never tried it for Bullseye, but it sure is accurate enough to be a good carry gun and reliable.
