Twist rate for .22 pistol barrel - Page 2 Empty Twist rate for .22 pistol barrel

Post by Froneck Sun Oct 22, 2023 4:29 pm

First topic message reminder :

I want the best twist rate barrel for use in target pistol. Anyone know what twist rate Nelson is using? Or was using since the company was sold to Dillon. I may have asked before but can't remember. Being busy in my shop I don't have time to read all the info posted on .22 LR barrel twist rate! Been weeks since I touched my .22 conversion but it's almost complete!
However I do want to get a barrel on order to make a .22 barrel for Adam.

Kruppd; Place I ordered the reamer is in Michigan though I'm not sure where.
Chopper: Adam purchased one and sent me photos of the bore of the barrel I sent him, liked it so much I ordered one! Question, mine came with 3 mirrors, 2 look the same and are all silver except for the mirror, the 3rd is the same but is Red on the very end, instructions don't say anything about difference in mirrors. Do you know why one has a red end?

Frank I did call them, and the 2 silver ended mirrors are spares and don't have anti glare properties like the red tipped mirror. The red tipped mirror is to use when you have a really shiny bright bore and there is too much glare.

Twist rate for .22 pistol barrel - Page 2 Empty USAMU's Franken Hammerlis

Does anyone have a picture or a description of these Franken Hammerlis? Is it a stock Hammerli 208 with a replacement barrel? Barrel Liner?

Thank you

The AMU guns are modified 208s. The big visible change is a unique swappable optic rib which allows the gun to be quickly changed from optic to metallic. Many of them also have 1911 grip adapters. Outside of that I don't know much about them, could some of them have a barrel liner? probably some but maybe, not hard to have hard/fast rules when you are talking a group of guns.

AMU 208S has replacement barrels; I've owned one. Got my .22 distinguished with it. It would group!
