1911 disconnect length
I was looking through the EGW 1911 parts list and saw where they offer 2 different length disconnectors one long and one GI length which I presume is standard length.
What is best and why is a longer disconnect needed?

Re: 1911 disconnect length
It is machined a bit taller in the upper portion of the slot so it will not drag on the sear pin. Made for light trigger pulls (2lbs or less) where you can feel drag easier..

Re: 1911 disconnect length
Thanks for the info. So, the overall length is the same as a GI disconnect.

I haven't seen one yet, so I'm not sure. The above was from an article I saw some time ago about them. Have to order one next time I need stuff from them.
