Grip Putty or Bondo
Good Morning Everybody!
What products are the best to use for a grip putty or bondo?
Is it best to use cling wrap or latex gloves while fitting?
Purchased a LP50 and the grip needs to be shaped to my hand, not too much to remove, needs lots of filler material.
Thank you very much and you guys have a good one!

I use JB Weld Pastic Steel, It's an ugly grey, but it sands well. I apply it directly on the oiled wood grip, and it usually pries off using a screwdriver if you change your mind.

PC Woody is a bit easier to modify after it cures than KwikWood but still lasts forever

Milliput two-part epoxy putty. Stays on, easy to mold, good working time, can be filed / sanded, and the terracotta color on wood isn't too ugly

I just tried Milliput terracotta for the first time a couple of days ago, works great! It hardens in about 4 hours, so plenty of time to mold it properly. Sugru is also great, but more expensive, so I only use it for small adjustments.

I like Kwikwood. If I remember correctly there is a fast and slow version. I like the slow as I can stipple the surface with a Bendix magneto indexing pin I have laying around.
The Thomas Rink video below gives some ideas on how to adjust a grip. Note that he recommends small adjustments. Select English subtitles.

I use Kwikwood. You can add on to it if you did not get enough the first time. I scuff up the grip where you are going to add it. Then when working with it get your hands a little moist to help from sticking. It has enough working time to get the job done.
After it dries and you are satisfied with the results take a 2 part epoxy that is clear and paint this onto your grip. Before this dries sprinkle some very fine sand. Home depot - https://www.homedepot.com/p/Zinsser-1-lb-Roll-A-Tex-Sand-Texture-Paint-Additive-22616/202257367
After this dries then I spray paint it. Mask off the grip you do not want to paint.

I use the thinnest latex gloves I can pick up from Harbor Freight. I wondered about using cling wrap- but using it seemed like it would be more trouble than it was worth and a cheap latex glove works A-OK.
