Has anyone else had to increase powder charge to ensure the slide locks backafter last shot when using coated bullets? I've had to increase powder charge from 4.0 Bullseye to 4.2 Bullseye when shooting SNS coated 200 grain 45 ACP bullet with lube grove crimped at .467. OAL is 1.238" 12 lb spring, Dot is Aimpoint 9000 mounted on the slide. I had no issue shooting another manufacturer's 200 grain bullet but switched makers due to barrel leading.

Not for me.  Mine functions fine at 3.8 Bullseye.

You can try tightening up your crimp a bit with your original charge.

Reduce the spring to ten and then try a nine.

Find the most accurate reasonable load, verified at 50 yards and adjust the gun to accommodate it, by changing recoil spring weights, etc.

For my slide mounted 1911 I shoot a 185 grain Bayou Bullet (those are coated with a Hi-tek coating) and 3.8 grains of Bullseye and .464-.465 crimp.  The gun has a 9 pound spring. Locks back after the last shot everytime
