Matches near Camp Pendleton CA

Are there any ranges to practice at or weekly Pistol League’s near camp Pendleton, California?

There’s South Bay Rod and Gun club they’re in Dulzura CA

And there’s Escondido Fish and Game in Escondido. https://escondidofishandgame.com/

There may be others towards Orange County or Riverside County, but they shoot mostly up in the San Gabriel mountains.  Almost every other place shoots more combat than bullseye.

I haven't made it yet, but have been in touch with Kevin Cooper at Escondido Fish & Game for bullseye matches and practice. Super nice guy.  PM me if you need his contact info, or you can reach out to the club directly.

When you say combat are you referring to action pistol or milsim or...?

Action pistol.  There’s also a lot of retired at operators teaching.  That’s all they offer.  The gun club on base at PendlEton shoots Action pistol.

Is the club on Camp P open to public or active/retired military only?

Check us out at the Pistol and Rifle range, just south of Camp Horno.  Please call ahead.  Our range schedule is subject to change based on unit training and mission requirements.

Our facility is open to active duty personnel/dependents, retired military/dependents, authorized DoD personnel, and civilian guests.

Santa Margarita Gun Club has civilian (non-DOD employee civilians) as members, but the allowable numbers are small.  Once you’re on the list you can shoot at club events as a membership privilege.  If you’re not a member, you can only shoot on Pendleton by entering their match and getting on the list of “guest competitors”.
