How are all you shooters who still use iron sights blackening your sights? Gil Hebard used to sell carbide sight blackeners years ago but I no longer see them listed.

while I've still got my carbide smoker, I've used Birchwood Casey sight black, burned target pasters, masking tape, and bic lighters.

For simplicity sake I just use the bic lighter now, I just leave a small one in my gun box all the time.

There is the convenience factor of the sprays but nothing is blacker than carbide..  Champion's Choice has the Ray Vin tool..
