1911 Rear Sight With an Adjustable Notch

Does anyone make one?  I've got this type of sight on my 22, and it is extremely helpful. 

I'm tempted to design and make one if they don't currently exist.

The rear sight on my Steyr air pistol is pretty nice. Adjustable width and depth of notch. I've heard of folks putting Morini rear sights on TOZ-35's for the same reasons. The idea is that you adjust the rear sight for different lighting conditions, but air pistol and free pistol events allow for sighting in before starting competition.

I talked with Warren Potter about this one of the years he was at Camp Perry, maybe 8 years ago. He thought the Steyr rear sight would stand up to the abuse of a 1911 slide. I never took it any further.

I really like the FWB rear sight, but I think it would be difficult since it need holes underneath for springs and balls.

I don't know of anyone who makes an adjustable width rear sight. Pretty much all stock sights are too narrow for me. I would be seriously interested if you made one.

file the slot wider its what everyone else does.

Of course I've done that. but there are times when an adjustable rear slot would be an advantage.
