What a nice tribute! It would be an honor to be numbered among these gentlemen.

I shot in about 20 NM's. How many sports can an oridnary shooter such as myself make that statement about?

Question for you John, or anybody- Which match did Charles Askins win in 1937 with his modified Colt Woodsman centerfire .22?
This reference says he didn't win any:

I can only think of trapshooting, The Grand American, 12 times myself.

This is of such excellence, it's a memorial of sorts to the memory of John.
