IZH35M Russian gun
First topic message reminder :
Found this locally and the price was good and it appears to be unfired. Anyone have one that can suggest what ammo to try in it? Larry

Re: IZH35M Russian gun
Seems as things are coming together with the gun. the SK standard plus runs flawlessly in it, I am surprised at the difference the low bore line makes with muzzle jump. Top shroud screws do back out (only on the right side), but with iron sights it is not critical. I do have the cap screws in it, but guess a little blue locktight may be the only solution. I just tighten them every 50 rounds. Today I put all but 8 out of 60 into the nine or better with nothing out of the 8. I think I can get along with it just fine, the trigger is really nice I have to admit. Larry

Re: IZH35M Russian gun
I know I’m kind of bringing this back from the dead, but I just bought one and was wondering…
To address the soft metal problems, particularly with the bolt/slide, has anyone tried hardchroming the gun? Anyone see any reason why this wouldn’t work?

Don’t think a thin layer of chrome would do anything to help.
Mine has at least 50,000 through it and is still running fine. Only failed part was the slide holdback which is a poor design and fails on lots of them. I hand built a replacement. The soft metal doesn’t seem to affect all of them.
