Mounting sight rail

I just got my #6-48 screws so I can mount the rail on my D&T model 41. My question is loctite or not. If yes what color.

Yes. Use Blue. Most varieties of Red is "permanent"

purple it the proper one to use but harder to find. I ran out and keep forgetting to order it. I have been using blue gel .

Dont use red ....But also make sure you use enought to fully coat the screws ...and let it set 24hrs .....

Degrease the screws and holes with alcohol or other degreaser product. Let dry before applying the Locktite.
