Bullseye Range Commands CD

I run the local Bullseye League and have used a CD from Champions Choice for years and I think that is the problem. At last night's match the CD started skipping and disrupted the match. The CD player is new and runs other CDs fine. I see CC no longer offers the CD and I cannot find any company that has one for sale. I've read suggestions to use your iPhone, make a copy from the internet etc. However, I have had little luck finding the full commands as they are the CD. Any suggestions?

Can you see visible scratches on the CD? Clean the CD with mild detergent and rinse with water and dry. Try putting it in a computer Optical read/write drive rather than in a CD player and see if you can copy the contents to your hard drive. If so, burn it to a new CD or a thumb drive for playback. There may be some commercial services available that can recover the data on the CD as well, if the above does not work.

What's a CD I concur with the app.

Thanks for the input. I'll try cleaning the CD first, I've done that with DVDs and it worked. If I'm unsuccessful I'll try the App and I'll have to get a remote Bluetooth somewhere. Alex can show me how to use it.

The kicker is to make sure everything is charged up.

Thanks for all the input. Today I brought the CD home and did a simple cleaning using Isopropyl alcohol and a clean rag. I tried the CD in two players and listened to the entire range of commands. There was not one skip.

Now burn a duplicate, or at least save the data on it to a flash drive....so when it goes bad again (and it will) you have a backup.

I doubt this is your problem, but several years ago we used a CD for practice at an indoor range. It worked fine as long as no one shot. The concussion of the shots disturbed the player and it skipped all over the place. Timed and Rapid would end early or late, sometimes it would repeat the commands halfway through the string. But when we tested it with no shooting it worked perfectly.  We got a different player and it worked fine.
