Hammerli 208s slide sticking

I have a consistent problem with the slide sticking open on either the third or fourth round during a string. ALL five mags I have show the same problem, some more than others. Did it twice during a recent EIC match, just wonderful timing.

I went through the slide catch and nothing looked out of the ordinary. should it move up and down easily or with some tension?

Anybody have this problem before?

Should move easily up with some light pressure due to the slight spring tension behind it. Should easily return to the down position under it's own steam due to the spring pulling it down. 

I've had the little spring break though, which lets it flop up and down too easily. Sometimes the broken ends of the spring can wedge themselves between the slide-stop and the frame, causing the slide stop to be very draggy.

I had the exact same problem and it started happening during a sustained portion of the match. The last round or two in all 5 of my mags stayed in the mags with the slide locked open.
It is the Slide catch spring. I removed the slide catch lever. Once you replace the spring it will function like new.

Thanks. I guess it's not sticking but locking back with a round or two in the mag. I'll source a spring somewhere. With Larry's closed it might take some searching.

I've ran them before without the slide lock spring installed and they ran perfectly. The lock can't be too tight or too lose for good function.
