1990s SA 1911-A1...is there a different beavertail grip safety available, that has a smoother transition between the two raised mounting brackets on the frame? Simpler to just machine (transition) it? It's somewhat annoying with a high grip; digs into the web between my thumb and forefinger. Thanks.

The frame needs to be contoured to the grip safety. So basically it is incomplete at this point and needs to be finished properly. A different grip safety is not going to help that.
