Which .45 is used by most pro bullseye shooters?

Hello, curious to know which make and model wadcutter is popular among the top shooters? From what I have found Rockriver and then cutomized 1911s such as older colts are mostly used?

Actual pro shooters will nearly always use a custom built 1911's made by a reputable bullseye smith or military armorer. Only time a pro would use something like a RRA or Cabot would be if they're sponsored by that company.

At the matches I typically shoot, most of what I see are Springfields, older colts, les baer, rockriver, mcp, Accuracy x, and various custom guns. Just about anything with a reasonable barrel fit and trigger work gets the job done.

If you have a decent 1911, Its the barrel and Gunsmith that makes the gun.   If you have a Match grade barrel and Bushing installed by a Pro, as long as the frame and slide are within spec, it will be a shooter.  I shot an Auto Ordinance for almost 30 years.  I upgraded to a Gold cup I bought off this sight.  It looked like it had been run over by a truck.  Once I had Accurails and  a Kart barrel and bushing installed, It shoots 10 shots into 3/4" at 25 yards held in my hands on sandbags.     I also shot the target at the right.

David, how about the trigger?  Did you do any work on it? What was the pull weight?

Springfield range officer and send to Kc or jon to upgrade with scope mount,kart barrel,egw bushing,trigger job. If you want shoot dot or irons with same slide, accuracy x have a multi sight slide.
