Western Super Speed & Super X

Hi!

I came across some old Western Super X and Winchester Super Speed .22LR and wonder if anyone knows the FPS? I may pick it up for plinking....

Not sure, probably in the 1250 FPS range. An older Gun Digest or Shooters Bible would be a place to look.

Super speed was definitely high speed ammo.  Super X was SV if I remember correctly.  If it has copper washed bullets “lubaloy” it was high speed ammo.  Some of that stuff shot very well.

Some of it still shoots very well. I have about 5 bricks of these. Great cold weather  ammo. Or for your m&p compact.
