Which old scope for a pachmayr box??

What kind of spotting scope was commonly used with the old ring/hose clamp style scope mount in the pachmayr boxes? Thanks

If I remember correctly it was a Bushnell spotting scope.

Take a look on eBay using the search terms "pachmayr case" or "pachmayr box." Also check completed listings. There are always a few boxes for sale, and sometimes they still have a scope mounted to the old pachmayr swivel type mount. I've seen any number of spotting scope brands including Bushnell (often Spacemaster and Sentry models), Swift, Bauch & Lomb along with a few other brands.

Jon is correct!!!  The one on my Dad's box from the late 1950's was a Bushnell 20X,  It was all brass with an extendable sun shade.  The tube was straight and did not have any screw mount.  The hose clamp was what held the scope in place.  The lense caps were aluminum in appearance.

I have been using my little Kowa in that same mount.

Not in a box, but clamp mount only...

Unertal 20x T-119 band clamp mount in Pachmayr 5 gun box.  Weighed a ton.

I still use a bushnell sentry 20x to this day. The bausch and loom Balscopes were very good as were.the Unertals..
