What does a Marvel .22 prefer to eat

just received a marvel standard length combo rail thanks to commercial row here on the forum. Anybody have good results with certain brands of ammo with their marvel?

I've tested Eley Black Box, CCI SV, and CCI Mini -Mags, all shoot very well.  The Eley groups better, not surprisingly, but either will hold the X ring at 50 yards in my RR. I use heavier recoil springs with the Mini Mags (I have a larger inventory trying to use up).

As an added bonus Tenex will reduce your cleaning time. By that I mean it costs so damn much you'll have to sell guns to buy it so you have less to clean.

SK pistol match special better than pistol match? It’s just 30 or so more FPS by the description.

Yes,every thing I tried it in being rifles or pistols it shoots better

My tests at the long line with the Ransom Rest showed Norma Tac beat, Eley target, CCI std, Norma Match, and Eley Club in my Marvel. It was also cheaper than everything except CCI std. Any of the above will clean the shortline. I’ve never cleaned the long line but CCI held 1.25 inches (for one lot) and 1.33 for another.

When I had Marvels, they ate everything from Eley to Aguila dished from remade Metalform mags.  When eating out of other mags, they did not always clean their plate.

I see its lubed with beeswax.  Any cold weather feeding issues?

No but they also make biathlon which has a different lube

SK made by Eley... think that would be a surprise to Nammo.. Eley is making Wolf labeled 22 now though replacing SK who made it previously. SK pistol is excellent ammo for the $$

My old Marvel likes Aguila pistol match and their super extra is very good for practice or at the SL.

I have two Marvel units. They both function flawlessly with either Aguiila SE, Wolf MT or SKJagdPM. I use bth the Metalorm anKimber magazines.
