What are you all using as an ECI for a Matchguns MG2?

Thanks!

Just cut the tail off on a ECI...or just use a zip tie or similar

I don’t lock the bolt open...slide the bolt back to before it ratchets the carrier up, put the ECI in the chamber and let the bolt close on the ECI.

At our club we cut orange weed-eater string into a 12-18" section and provide them to any shooter that needs one            (ECIs mandatory) or forgot theirs at home and we keep dozens on hand at the range. Many of our competitive shooters create a finger loop on one end by wrapping it with dental floss and the loop provides fast insertion and removal, while the bright orange color provides high visibility for range officers. I've been using mine at matches and Camp Perry for about six years and it's still like new. All possible with something we already had on hand at the range and zero cost.

Both good options. Thanks guys!

In case anyone was wondering why I asked, when you lock the bolt back on an MG2, the tilting block covers the chamber, making an unmodified ECI impossible to use.

Interesting. I've also struggled with this problem and have up till now just shoved a standard small size ECI into the space near the breech (effectively blocking the action from closing) Now I have some better solutions to experiment with. Good.

I've never seen anyone else with a Match Gun at the events I've attended. I currently use mine only for EIC 22 and so it does not get a lot of use.
