Electronic Hearing Protection

Please share your experience with electronic hearing protection.  My first priority is comfort over several hours.  Thank you for your help.

Howard Leight Impact Pro, used at my outdoor range.  Sometimes I turn the electronics off.  I had one set for ages, then bough another, and gave my first set to a friend.  

Comfortable, safe, and at least for handguns, I think they are perfect.  Last time I bought them I did a lot of checking around, but couldn't find anything I thought was better.  I got them from Amazon as I recall, at a very reasonable cost.

What do the gel inserts do?  First time I've heard of them...

Much more comfortable, and better seal around your ears and glasses.
