Re: Show Me Your Bullseye Pistols
Those are some nice looking pistols. I noticed in your signature that you also have a CZ 75 Shadow. I have a 75B and an SP01.

Thanks, yes the CZ Shadow 2 is the second version of the CZ 75 Shadow and is now probably most popular gun for IPSC/IDPA Production division.
It has really good recoil control and crisp trigger, actually very precise too, but lacks barrel bushing and it's only a 5".
Here it is between my .22 and Python (with old grips):

Clark Mod 41 Conversion
Does anyone have a opinion on the Clark Custom Mod 41 22 LR conversion with Iron Sights. Im seriously thinking of having it done to my very tired Mod 41 from 1988
Thanks John

Check out this badboy: Accuracy X with rebarrel/bull conversion by Jon Eulette.
Here's the specs:
KKM threaded barrel
Deep River Customs tungsten cone
EGW tungsten guide rod
Sharkskins grips
Jon Shue aimpoint shades
Photoescape rear aperture
Aluminum bronze (Frank S.) trigger shoe
CMM grip panel on right side.
This thing is heavy, 3lbs 3oz unloaded. Feels like a gold brick.

My Volquartsen V2000
Super reliable, very accurate and can shoot Federal 525 HV all day. Everything feels good. On the heavy side, but I like that. Mags are very easy to load and I sometimes just use one mag for bullseye matches because loading is so low stress.
The barrel was designed for rapid fire target shooting and it can reacquire the target very fast with very little muzzle flip when using CCI SV.

Re: Show Me Your Bullseye Pistols
My Sig Trailside - This one I like shooting best since it is very, very accurate and had a trigger job done by Larry's (RIP). It's a joy to shoot and shoots Aguila SE SV well and reliably. Mags are plastic (which was surprising), but have held up very well and loads fairly easily with bullets almost snapping into place and every mag is consistently the same where the other pistols can shoot differently depending on the mags (which are metal)

Re: Show Me Your Bullseye Pistols
For the classic fans...
My S&W Model41. I was lucky and got it used with two rare barrels for $700. The shop (and I at the time) wasn't aware the barrels were rare. I sold the shorter Field barrel for $500. I then got Clark barrel so I could mount a dot and it shoots extremely accurately. I've had a lot of reliability issues, but after years of trying different things, lightly oiling the bullets seemed to fix everything.

Re: Show Me Your Bullseye Pistols
Classic part II!
I bought a HS "Victor" Citation mutt years back which looked pretty rough and had "T4 47" hand scratched on the frame and came with an old Tasco red dot (small tube one I hadn't seen before...also scratchmarked on the bottom with"T4").
I thought it was a Victor because I was unfamiliar with HS guns and the barrel noted in big words "VICTOR"...well, when I finally picked it up (NY with a forever wait), l saw that it was a Citation.
Still, I got it for $420 with two original magazines*. I was bummed about the fake and it didn't shoot as well as I expected, but I was able to sell the barrel for $350! LOL
I then found a used LSP barrel with a optic mount and when I tried it out, the accuracy was still disappointing. I tried several things including different ammo and 2 anatomical grips, but still nothing impressive. Recently I did a sandbag rest test at 50' and it did a ragged hole with 5 shots of Federal 525 HV! (I know HV wasn't good for it, but I was near the end of rest testing many guns and ran out of SV).
I've since changed the grip to an old Volquartsen which fit me better and this thing is like a laser beam...I'll have to test and practice on it more. Talk about Cinderella gun!
Here it is with Herret style grips and bag rest ammo testing.

Here it is in beautiful black formal attire and ready for the red carpet!

*BTW- I got two old original mags with this and they are THE WORST mags I've ever handled. One of them has a lip broken off (brittle metal and can easily break the lips if dropped), but seems to function fine. However the mags are designed in a way that the top bullet almost rests on a "shelf" of sorts and so as you put a bullet in, it tends to stay in top position and not drop down!
I found that shaking/jiggling it vigorously can settle it down (for...every...bullet) or to hold it flipped reverse of how I normally load bullets from my palm, which is extremely awkward. Having only two mags and one of them slightly broken is holding me back from using it for bullseye until I get more mags and they are EXPENSIVE.

Just starting out
Just starting out. I bought this SW22 from Buds pre-covid for $310. It was such a good deal, I had no choice but to buy it. lol Anyway, it sat in my closet for three years and it's finally getting a work out. I was shocked by the out of the box accuracy. It will shoot a ragged hole at 25yds with CCI SV from a rest. I have made a few mods. The stock trigger was good but the Tandemkross Victory trigger was a great upgrade. Also, added a Volquartsen grip and aluminum picatinny rail. I happened to have a spare Holosun red dot lying around and that ended up on top. I have only shot the pistol in this configuration a few time but am very happy with the results. Will try to get to the range at least once a week throughout the winter hoping to be ready for my first L match early 2023. My goal is not not embarrass myself too much
Considering a 25mm Ultradot 4 and Volquartsen fluted barrel once my shooting improves enough for it to make a difference.
